well, this is actually a simple question. Idea is everywhere. our surrounding is the most inspiring idea for example nature, animal, people etc. the challenging part is to bring the surrounding subject and convert it to an interesting art. this concept is not only for visual art, but also include all the art form ever exist (performing art, music, and even martial art for god sake...)for this post, lets focus on simple vector art.

How to create a cool design by just observing our surrounding.

the answer is simple (according to my stlye):-

1. First you have to combine it with other material. for example you got an idea from rose and you start to develop your idea from it. why not you combine the idea with its characteristic. for example you see rose as the love symbol. from there u will get the idea to develop the design into the heart-shape-rose.
2. 2nd is to use the art principal and element. you have to know which principal and element of design is suitable to make the design interesting. The key word for this step is the knowledge of art. to make a design with high value, you have to get serious and read about the principal and element.
   
3. the last part is using our experience. what have u seen, what have u done, what have u wear, what have u watch and what have u eat is the kind of experience that im talking about. this really help you to create an interesting composition and color combination for your design.
   

this is what i do when i creating a design. im not saying that my design is super cool. but im sure that with my method above, it will help the new designer to overcome the creative-block syndrome.

i got some not-so-good idea development. this is for school level actually. hahaha. ok ok.. dor idea development, 1st you must have your subject matter. for example bellow i use rose as my subject matter. and from there i start to sketch my idea.

Ini pesyen bleh mati woo... artwork lagu nih mmg kasi aku migrain... stroke halus begini mmg aku tak biasa buat kalo pakai waccom... plus flat color mmg susah wooo... better effect air brush.. lg senang... inilah artwork paling letih penah aku wat seumur hidup aku... ntah la nape.. software senang... maybe aku nak demam kot... hasil dia takde la perfect pon... ade je cacat....

anyway.. aku pakai software baru nihh yg diberi oleh ZED ibrahim (otai gak budak nih a.k.a junior aku)... nama software PAINT TOOL SAI... agak smart disitu... mmg aku akan pakai software ni la kalo nak draw... tp aku masih tak biasa pakai waccom lg... so kene byk practice nihh.. hehehe... ini la process2 dr rough sketch hingga final.. ushar la woii!!!



Rough Sketches
ok... ni nak crita sikit... 1st proses kita kena rough sketch... aku pakai kaler selain itam sbb warna itam aku nak pakai time proses inking.... proses sketches (melakar) ni mengambil masa yg singkat... just ikut ati je... jgn nak kesah salah naa... teruskan jee.. tackle proportion figure.... janji aampa paam sketches ampa suudah la nohh....

Inking
memandangkan aku pakai komputer... proses inking ni takla bahaya sgt... kalo manual kene la hati2... kalo tak jenuh berpalam laaa ngan liquid (plakat white).. hehehe... proses ni mmg penting gila babi... yg mana ampa sketch td time ni laa penentu rupa bentuk lukisan ampa... kalo time rough sketch tu mcm taik.. time ni laa ampa repairr.. time ni mkn masa sikit sbb proses perkembangan idea juga masih berlaku disambil melukis dengan lebih detail dan kemas....



Black Shadow
aku tak tau nak bg nama apa kat proses nihh... ni mmg proses yg aku selesa buat sebelum aku colour... aku mesti nak letak shadow 100% black... bukan grayscale naaa.... ja black jaa... proses ni memudahkan ampa nak colour ikut tone... trust me... selain tuhh, proses ini membantu ampa terasa mcm artwork ampa nak siap dah... so anda akan tak sabaq2 dan makin bersemangat sehingga terlupa anda mempunyai awek yg sedang merindui anda...

Colouring
aku malas nak cite detail pasal colouring nihh... sebb panjang ceritanya... aku nak bg tips ja utk kaler nihh... 1st.. jgn pakai warna yg "betui"... hahaha1!!! aku tak ckp merapu laaa... maksud aku warna "betui" ni mcm warna merah "betui"... pure merah... tak best... cuba pakai merah tua... merah muda... kasi nampak naturall... gitu laaa...

Tertib
proses tertib adalah meletakkan watemark ataupon signiture anda.... itu sahaja dr saya... papaiii

sekali lagi aku nak letak artwork vector aku yg lama... pakai corel draw... mari ushar.....








gitu lah diee.... sumer tuh utuk promo EAT|ATE|ART.... kalo nak amek.. amek laa... di alu alukan... just click pada gambar yg berkenan... dah kuar gambar actual size... then right-click and save... letak jd wall paper lg bagus...
